The Team
The Pickford Engineering Consultancy Ltd group has decades of experience across academia, aerospace, defence and civil infrastructure. This has included:
- Identifying and exploiting novel materials, from characterisation to deployment.
- Being on both sides of research bids, their development and the review and downselection of submitted bids.
- The management of traditional materials in conventional and unconventional applications throughout the lifecycle.
- Development of processes and tools for material and asset management.
- Training in both an academic and industrial setting on material and processes as well as asset management.
- Organisational designs, optimising engineering and maintenance delivery.
- How profile, time sensitive failure investigations.
- Demonstration of ongoing compliance in heavily regulated sectors to government agencies.
Managing Director
Highly qualified and motivated professional
The Managing Director, Dr Pickford, holds a nunber of academic qualifications in engineering and is a chartered engineer.
His love of engineering extends beyond the workplace into his fascination with vehicles whether that be classic cars and motorcycles or aircraft.
This passion for engineering flows through into his work output and a genuine enthusiasm to help others, whether that's in work activities or mentoring less experienced engineers towards gaining professional qualifications.
